A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about how I make my tsokolateng tablea hot drink the modern way. Now, let me tell you how I made incredibly delicious milkshake with tablea. Yes, milkshake. Unlike commercial milkshakes that look like brown-colored sweetened milk, this milkshake retains the unmistakable bitter-sweet flavor of the chocolate.

Tsokolateng tablea (Filipino chocolate) milkshake
Print PinIngredients
- 1 cup milk
- tsokolateng tablea
- ice
Instructions
- Pour half a cup of milk into a mug. Add the tablea — how much depends on how thick and rich you want your milkshake. As a guide, view photos of the tsokolateng tablea that I have at home — I used five pieces per half cup of milk. Heat the milk in the microwave for a minute. This should moisten and soften the tablea a bit.
- Pour the contents of the mug into the blender, add the other half cup of cold milk and about four ice cubes. Puree until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy your super rich milkshake.
sounds wonderfully chocolatey! I will try this tomorrow.
Much, much better than powdered chocolate mixes. :)
Will definitely try this when i get hold of some tablea.
Oh, and the cake (or is it a doughnut?) looks yum as well. :)
Tres leches cake. Mini version. :)
