Beside Teriyaki Boy in Eastwood City is Sizzlin’ Pepper Steak. We’ve been promising ourselves to eat there for months, never did because the girls would always choose Teriyaki Boy but, finally, on July 17th, we had lunch there. The photos have been sitting in my hard drive for that long and I haven’t uploaded them to the blog until now. Two reasons: The food was so unmemorable. The dining experience was just as forgettable.
It’s not that the food was foul-tasting or the food attendants rude. No. The food was not bad. But not that good. You know, just a tummy filler despite the thoughtful plating and the hot plates. The attendants were polite. But not exactly attentive. It’s that kind of place.
The steak dishes come with your choice of sauce on the side. Sadly, the sauces were bland — in color and in taste — and made to look richer with a lot of starch.
Will we go back there again? No, thanks. Once is enough.
