Birthday Girl’s Balloon Animal Art

08/24/2011 //  by Connie Veneracion

It’s rare for the girls to be home in the middle of the week. But the term is ending, final exams are over and classes are irregular. Speedy picked them up last night and, as usual, we were camped in the bedroom chatting and relaxing until the wee hours of the morning. Sam brought home her bags of balloons (a special request she had for her birthday), made a dog and asked if I would blog about it. Of course, I would.

I brought the balloon dog out into the living room and took photos. When I went back into the bedroom, Sam was already making another animal balloon. This time, a cat.

But she had problems making the balloon look like a cat.

So, she watched a tutorial.

And… it looked like a cat. Kinda. A big cat, if you ask me. Maybe, a baby tiger.

And while Sam was busy with her animal balloons, what was Alex busy with?

Alex was drawing.

And the virtual junk food meal is complete.

I love it when my girls are home. Everything just seems so much more complete. And perfect.

You said it, Connie… ” everything just seems so much more complete. And perfect.” In Tagalog- wala ka nang hahanapin pa. wala nang kulang. :)

Kakainggit naman ang galing ng kamay ng mga girls! Kung ako sa balloons, putok na lahat yon. And let’s not talk about drawing. The closest that I got to doing crafts is typing! Nyerk, my daughter tells me hindi daw kasali sa crafts ang typing. Mahirap lang kasi tanggapin na zero ako in that department!!! lol! … Again, your two girls are so talented! Thanks for sharing their work.

My boys are home, too for the long weekend. Although my eldest is done with his finals. We sleep in my bed, like we used to when they were little. But my youngest still sleeps with me, no matter what. He said he misses me. Aww, sweet.

I like it when my boys are home because that means I will be busy in the kitchen cooking their favorite food – nothing complicated: nilagang baka, sinanglay na tilapia, sinigang sa bayabas (spareribs or pata), sinigang sa miso (bangus). (Yeah, they are the “sinigang gang”.)

    God is good.
