I was in the supermarket earlier and bought another 2-kilo bag of Whiskas. I really ought to call up a friend who owns a pet supply store in Eastwood City and ask if they sell cat food by the sack. The 2-kilo bags of cat food every two weeks or so is turning out to be expensive. Kilo for kilo, a sack of Whiskas or Friskies will be a lot cheaper.
Yup, feeding the cats properly can be expensive. Of course, we don’t give them dry commercial cat food all the time. They do get their share of fish and chicken. Unfortunately, when it comes to table food, they can be very picky. They refuse to eat rice and bread unless mixed with mashed canned sardines. And they won’t touch veggies unless they haven’t eaten in a day.
It’s really sad that there aren’t any available choices aside from Whiskas and Friskies. Brands of dog food abound from Science Diet to Pedigree to Alpo and heaven knows what else. But when it comes to cat food, there’s just Whiskas and Friskies.
