Video: gutting and cleaning fresh fish

The short video on how to gut and clean fresh fish was taken by my daughter Sam using her Sony Ericsson K800i. It’s my way of announcing that very shortly I will be posting food and cooking videos in Home Cooking Rocks! — not taken with a cell phone but with a real video cam. Yeah, straight from my kitchen. And street food too. It’s an idea that I’ve been toying around with for sometime but it wasn’t easy making the decision because video editing can be time consuming. That’s why Christmas seems to be the ideal time to launch the new Home Cooking Rocks! food and cooking videos segment — the kids will be home on vacation and they can help me out. We already bought a new video cam and we just need to organize the kitchen a bit before we start shooting. I’m not going to show you the mess, you know.

That’s great Connie. Soon enough you’d have your own online cooking show. ;)

  4. Connie says:

    Gay, yes, that’s me.

Hi Connie! I’ve been a fan for so long but this new video segment, especially the Filipino street food series, dragged me out of my quiet corner. (I’m currently very into global street food.) Looking forward to everything you’ll be sharing with us.

  10. KK says:

Next you will be on TV Ate Connie ;) .

  11. Connie says:

Lani, we’re shooting the first two “episodes” over the weekend.

F1foodie, it took the video announcement to get you to comment?

KK, there was a TV offer. A weekly show. After a lot of soul-searching, I’d rather produce my own videos and put them here. I love my independence. :)

  12. F1foodie says:

That did it Connie. Aside from Obachan in Japan I haven’t found (so far), anybody who has videos as part of their blog. I’m sure it’s going to be a very informative addition, can’t wait.

  13. F1foodie says:

Erratum!! Sorry Connie, that’s Oyamake’s site that has the videos. Although Obachan’s blog is worth a daily check too.

  14. Ai says:

excited ako to watch ur cooking videos..

  15. Shalori says:

My hubby would like text instructions if possible. Its hard on him to view the video as his eyesight is not so good.
