Found this in my hard drive, a photo taken by Alex of one of her many manga figurines. The dirty stains aren’t part of the design but they look like they belong because chefs don’t exactly look immaculately clean while they’re working in very hot kitchens.
And, speaking of chefs, coincidentally, Speedy’s niece and goddaughter, Nicole, graduated with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Nicole, if you intend to specialize in culinary arts, use the knife for cooking, dear, not to mince the assholes of the world.

I absolutely like this photograph. An example of “less is more.”
- The dividing line is just below the halfway mark. (It’s rare to see exactly midway lines work.)
- The pale face and blonde hair are against a dark background and the knife and shorts against a light one.
- The figure is off to the left of center, giving more room for his glare to the right. (Although with a piercing stare and knife in hand, his intentions are quite suspect.)
At my site, the very first photo I posted is also of a figurine. They’re great to work with – you can put them in a pose and they’ll stay there all day without complaining. I don’t think they have a union.
Please extend my compliments to Alex.
I have. And she had this smile on her face.
Haha, that last statement got me laughing.
My compliments to Alex, too.
