Yeah, what a treat this Christmas indeed! And I am drooling despite the fact that my Canon EOS 40D is only a little over a year old. But with a price tag of US$2699 (body only), maybe — MAYBE — in a few years, I’ll give myself a treat and buy this baby.

Hi Connie,
next year, I presume price will go down. at 21.1Mp, that’s about double the resolution of a ASA100 film. Very suitable for blowups. Seems Canon is updating their EOS lines every year. I think with this camera you can even shoot at night on available lights and still come up with clear photos.
Would you know if Canon does trade-in if you intend to upgrade?
Canon Philippines does not do retail sales. Only through dealers. Am not sure about trade-ins. Probably at the Hidalgo stores.
Auee, Hardwarezone is the only site I know that has downloadable price lists of different stores.
Yeah, that would be a nice Christmas treat. *sigh*
hmmm wish ko rin… i know i can buy this if i will splurge but this means no travel… babalik ako sa charter industry para tip money ulit lol
merry christmas
wow! ang ganda ng cam na ito!
for price lists, i usually check cgena.com.
Mukhang may kabigatan ang camera na yun ah. My dream camera would still be a Leica — Leica M8.2 + Noctilux F/0.95. Maybe in my next life time. Haha
With a 500 to 750 g. lens, it’s a workout for the arms LOL
Oh… How sad. Well, I got mine and it’s a Playstation3! I’m a child again! The resolution is awesome. Man, the Drake Uncharted game is unbelievable. Pwede kang mag pan at tilt while assisting the character which at times could easily feel like it’s you in this hunt for fortunes. Tapos pag napagod ka being cerebral, you could rough it up with the Motor Storm Pacific Rim. Ang bagsik! Playstation ka muna. We could play on line.
Nice picture, sha.
Ang mahal naman! Our Rebel is 5 years old already but I can’t justify getting a new one. Given time the price will come down. Look at the Iphones.
Tom re PS3. Malapit na. Malapit na. hehehe
Tina, yep, horrible price. For a hobbyist, it’s too much.
Really…and when you do, check out this game: “Midnight Club Los Angeles”.
Without giving away the contents of the game, the two thrills I’ve discovered so far is that it reminds me of when I first attempted to drive and how true the statement on the protective case of the game disk the says: “The best way to see LA is at 245 mph”.
Happy New Year!
My younger daughter’s been bugging me for a PS3 for a year now. Never saw the point until someone said it can be good exercise LOL
re 15. I agree that it could be good exercise for Alex’s interest in graphics and annimation. The Playstation Network would expose her to a world of possibilities. It is awesome!
