Casa is Spanish for house. CASA is also an acronym for Connie, Antonio, Sam and Alex. We are all surnamed Veneracion. We all love to take photos -- of anything that catches our fancy. It's a family obsession.
This is a journal of how we live, eat, learn, play and have fun. Work? Work is part of playing and having fun. Seriously.

In 2003, a time when I hadn't heard of the term "blog", I started a recipe website at cooking.houseonahill.net using a now defunct content management system that ran on ASP. Ok, never mind the geek talk, I'm sure you're not interested in that. The contents easily multiplied and, in 2004, I moved the food site to pinoycook.net. Congratulations!
(It seems only yesterday when my parents marched with me for my high school graduation.)
And congratulations to you, Lance, for making it to the U.P. College of Medicine.
Haha, maraming salamat po!
Pagbutuhin, soon-to-be-Dr-Lance.
Congratulations, Sam! And of course, Congratulations, Connie and Speedy! Happy Graduation to the three of you!
Thanks. We’re getting nearer and nearer your happy state with no more tuition fees to pay heheheh
Congrats to Sam and her parents! Happy Graduation!
Thanks. It was a 4-hour program, grabe.
Congrats to Sam. What a momentous time!
Thanks, Tintin. In a way, it also makes me realize I am getting old LOL!
I just saw the pic (didn’t show up when I first loaded the page at the airport). I know it’s not the time to get all puffed out about it, but that quote bothers me.
Eh. forget it. Enjoy the moment na lang. Your daughter will become a woman of value din.
It should be “Becoming people of values.” EVen “becoming” is problematic because of the underlying assumption that the graduates are still to become persons of value (or values) and, at this point, they are without value or values.
I know. Signs of the changing times in that school.
congratulations! graduation programs get longer and longer nowadays. where will she go for college?
Thanks, Cocoy. Nothing really definite right now. I’m still wishing it’s Film School in Cebu but it’s her decision to make.
Congratulations Sam, Speedy and Connie (nahirapan ako sa billing!).
Film School in Cebu? Wow! Initial reaction ko – bakit naman kailangan sa Cebu? What is there that’s not available in schools here?
Thanks, Nikita.
Check this out. Film School.
