Tagaytay, Nasugbu or Quezon?

We’ve been planning a few days vacation in time with the kids’ sem break and I’ve been scouring the web for the past couple of hours looking for houses for rent in the Nasugbu area. Although the original plan was three days and two nights in Tagaytay, what’s the harm in considering other locations, right? I want to go to the beach, really. I’m white as a sheet especially after last week’s bout with some kind of flu.

As I surfed, I also visited some sites about Liliw, Laguna. The nearby Majayjay Falls sounds like a good place to spend half a day for photography. Then, I came across this first person account in Waypoints.Ph:

it’s beautiful pero its terribly crowded pag weekend. every piece of real estate, and i mean EVERY nook, crevice, large rock, etc was turned into a campsite. There were about a thousand people there! i didnt appreciate the bird sounds in the morning because somebody brought a blaring karaoke…imagine hearing the hotbabes singing bulaklak in the middle of the forest! sabagay…bulaklak nga eh…

Gee, how can anyone really appreciate the tranquility of nature in a place like Majayjay Falls if he has to listen to a Hotbabes ditty from a blaring karaoke? That’s why I’m looking for houses for rent — because most resorts feature karaoke machines for the entertainment of guests. And any place with a karaoke machine is not a restful place for even the shortest vacation as far as I am concerned.

Anyway, Laguna is not really among the spots I’m considering. I want to go to Nasugbu.

Pundaquit, San Antonio, Zambales is a good place to have a short vacation with your family. My barkada and I went there last month for a weekend getaway. It's a private resort and there are less people now as it is off-peak season. We rented the small rooms with two twin beds and bathroom and airconditioned for only P1,500, though I think they usually rent it out for P1,700 overnight. You can go hiking to the falls or go island hopping for P500-600/boat with 6-person capacity. You can see our pics in my multiply site. Just go to http://altashheth.multiply.com/photos/album/15. The place is Nora's beach resort. You can contact #0919-6374917 for inquiries. I think you'll enjoy the place. My friends and I had so much fun there. :-)
