The streets of Metro Manila are one big marketplace for vendors. From the sidewalks where pedestrians have been effectively ejected to the intersections where peddlers race one another to the middle of busy streets where traffic bottlenecks are rampant.

In a country where cell phone chargers to hand puppets to pot holders are sold in the middle of busy streets, is it really surprising to find someone selling posters of the alphabet and the parts of the body? If mommy and daddy are too busy to go to the bookstore and Junior or Nene needs the poster for school the following day, well…
What else is for sale?

Umbrellas… it is rainy season, after all.

Cashew nuts!?!

Chicharon and kropek! Can’t get hungry even if traffic stands still for hours.

Happy Birthday, Connie!
Thankee, thankee!
feng, thank you! oo nga ano, may cell phone chargers. And I took more photos yesterday for added variety hehehe.
Happy birthday!
Thanks, Mitch!
To amuse kids stuck in traffic, we also saw vendors selling bubble blowers and stuffed toys… and towels and bathrobes, I wonder why you would need those while stuck on EDSA?
Bathrobes? LOL Very original. hehehe
