Connie, if we are going to worry about every danger, may I add we might as well go back to Stone Age.

I don’t think I will, Cheann. If we’re going to worry about every “danger” we should give up cell phones, computers, fridge and even television.

Napoleon, I don’t think it’s “increasingly carcinogenic” exactly. Science just discovers the carcinogens (and science has been known to overrule itself) that have been there all the while.

So glad I pooh-poohed the idea of replacing the staid ceramic countertop with granite, even though the “Joneses” did so.

I certainly could do without an additional source of radiation — no matter how miniscule the radon and uranium may be. There is such a thing as “cumulative effect,” after all.

My personal mantra in today’s increasingly carcinogenic world is simply this: Avoid first, minimize second.
