Scene from a Tagaytay restaurant

Solid wood furniture

In a previous entry, I mentioned the booming woodcraft industry in Sta. Rosa, Laguna — that stretch that leads to Tagaytay. This photo shows an example of the kind of solid wood furniture they make there.

The photo, however, was not taken on the highway but inside a restaurant. The dining set is the only nice thing that I can show and write about that restaurant because the food was a cross between so-so and panis. Yes, panis as in spoiled. They served us spoiled lumpiang ubod. We sent it back, got an apology but no replacement and the item was deducted from the bill right away which made me think all the lumpiang ubod they had that night were in the same condition. Sometimes, it’s such a pain trying out new restaurants.
