Bravo, Pinayhekmi! Bravo! It's terrible to think that there are actually women who accede to their husband's wishes about what they should wear.

This definitely strikes a chord with me. Woody loves short hair. The shorter the better. He also likes my hair up. Well, I have my own ideas about how my hair should look, and they're no shorter than neck length if ever, and I like my hair down. I"m sorry, I just won't feel comfortable in a hair cut I don't like. He's not the one who has to walk around with it is he?

It's a point of annoyance with me, but a minor one. He's not the typical husband, and I'm not the typical wife.

You mean the second Mrs. de Winter, Ana. Yes, I agree. And I don't know if it's our relatively conservative culture with still too much feudal underpinnings. Or whether some women just enjoy "being told."

No matter how archaic this kind of woman seems to us in this day and age, believe me there are still pathetic women like Rebecca today. They may not live in some dark, sinister, gothic mansion but they are so unenlightened, that they might as well do.
