The photo was taken in 2008 (I was still using a Canon EOS 40D at the time) at the Sampaguita Gardens Resort in New Washington, Aklan, home of Sam Butcher, the creator of Precious Moments dolls. I thought it fitting to use the photo with that “happy birthday” message to look back at the past eight years.
This month, I celebrate my eighth year as a blogger. For five of those eight years, I was a newspaper columnist. For the last four of those eight years, I have been a magazine writer (still am). It makes me crazy to think of how much writing I have done. Over 5,000 blog posts (excluding the old ones that I have taken down), half of which are recipes. And it’s not like I have run out of things to write about. In fact, I think I’m just warming up.
Looking forward for another 8 yrs or 5,000 more posts.
Oh,did I learn tremendously on this blog….and that’s not only recipes.
