Insects land on my computer all the time, especially at night. Moths, mostly. In various colors. In the past, however, the almost always alighted on my keyboard, rarely on my monitor. Tonight’s the first time that something alighted on my monitor’s screen. I think this praying mantis was attracted by the brightness of my laptop’s screen. Or, maybe, it liked what it saw on my food blog‘s index page.

The same thing happens to me. I always forget to close my room’s window at night, afterwards insects start to flock on my monitor screen and ‘bug’ the patience out of me. There was this one incident wherein in my rage to get rid of those pesky insects, I grabbed my mice and hit the insect with it.
I ended up with a broken mice (it was an optical mice, some models of which are quite fragile) and messy screen.
Cool photo by the way.
shucks, at least you didn’t crack your monitor.
i just noticed… putol yung isa nyang antenna.
Sassy, is something going on with the formatting of the comments section? The spaces for name and email don’t have any tags, and I noticed the tags are below add your comment button.
As for the insect, hopefuly he’s not a suicidal grasshopper who wants to be dipped in chocolate and used as edible decoration on your creampuffs (that’s the post he seems to be reading).
uy, praying mantis na walang diyos!
Batjay, pareho natin? hehehe
Mila, you\’re using IE? I didn\’t test this with IE, only with Firefox and Opera. I\’ll check. Worst case scenario, I\’ll just switch to the old template. Thanks for the note.
Mantis are so beneficial it was against the law to kill them when I was growing up
Miguk, but you grew up in the States, right?
