Sam has only two items on her agenda today: one, convince Speedy and I to agree to see Iron Man 2 on opening day; two, clip Astro’s nails and give him a bath. Speedy and I agreed to see Iron Man 2 but I have two conditions: first, only on the last full show as I have no intention of wrestling with the opening day crowd and, second, we’d go after dinner as I don’t want to spend extra for dinner out. Heck, we’ve been eating out too often these past several weeks.
That settled, Sam went about the second item on her agenda.
She brought Astro to the garden and started by having him relax.
She stroked his back…
And stroked him some more… But, apparently, it wasn’t working. Astro was moving too much, making it impossible to clip his nails.
It looked to me like Sam started tickling him. Which didn’t work either.
And I saw her talking to him. Cajoling, from the looks of it but that failed to keep him still.
And it looks like she was starting to threaten him. And Astro still wouldn’t budge.
Sam started to lift his legs…
… one at a time, placing one leg after another on her thigh so she could trim his nails. But Astro was bullish.
And it looked like Sam started to loose her cool. See her hand?
Did she actually hit him? Well, if you can call it hitting. Personally, I thought she was playfully slapping him. Because it made no difference to Astro.
Another slap.
And he still wasn’t paying attention. Sam managed to finish the pedicure job though.
And the bath? Instead of forcing Astro to settle down and behave, Speedy decided to tire him out by taking him for a walk and give him his bath afterward. Did it work? I don’t know. I went inside the house and didn’t wait for the bath episode. It was too hot outside.
that’s also my problem with my doggies, when it’s nail clipping time, grabe, nagbubuno kami, lahat din ng klaseng paglalambing ginagawa ko to no avail.
you have such an adorable pitbull though, ganda ng kulay nya and his demeanor napakaamo 
Haaay, good thing it’s not my job to take care of him anymore. I did when he was a puppy but when he got big, haaaay, I’d rather not.
Hala Ms. Sassy ang laki na pala ni Astro…parang kelan lang nagpost ka sa blog mo kung anong magandang pangalan…
