Mother’s Day this year fell on my sister-in-law Ava’s birthday. She treated the entire Veneracion clan to lunch at Kopi Tiam along C. Benitez Avenue in Cubao, Quezon City. Neither my husband, kids nor I had been there before. We were told it was a Korean version of North Park Noodle House. Since I am a big fan of North Park, I was really looking forward to lunch at Kopi Tiam.
I am not at all sure if all the dishes were Korean. I think it was more of a mixture of Korean, Chinese and Japanese. But who wants to split hairs, really, when the food is that glorious? Because that’s the only way to describe it–glorious! My sister-in-law paid a little over PhP 2,000.00 and we were a group of 16. And nobody was on diet. ![]()
