Metro Manila is pink

Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Bayani Fernando does not like gray–the traditional color for public infrastructure. He likes bright colors like hot pink and blue. So, pedestrian overpasses are in pink and blue.

    Hi Sassy!
I love your site and have been a regular reader for almost 2 years now.

Anyway, i have a question about that public urinal. It doesn’t look to me like it has a door, does it? Also, are men just supposed to go in there and just pee…like, with their urine ending up on the ground? Because in that picture, it doesn’t appear to me that there are ummm….facilities in there for them to use.

Allison, according to those who have tried it, there is a real urinal inside. dunno how it is flushed though. and the front panel is actually a door. I think the one in the photo isn’t complete yet.

    Kakulay ng sa Singapore.

For the public urinals for men, they have no doors that you can open or close but once inside you are not visible already from the outside except kung may dadaan na double deck bus sa tabi at tiyak kita ka ng tao sa itaas. Inside, there is dripping water situated in such a way that the urine can be effectively directed into a drainage.

As for me, malaking tulong itong mga urinals na ito specially to PUV drivers. Hindi na sila jijingle sa gulong ng sasakyan nila pag sinumpong.

  4. Connie says:

Trosp, alam mo in Marikina, the urinals have doors… at least the ones I’ve seen. Ewan ko ba naman sa mga lalaki, women can hold their water until they can get to a toilet, why can’t men?

  5. cheH says:

I think, it’s only pinoys or only in Pinas where men don’t know how to hold their water til they can find a proper loo. Or, simply lack of discipline???

I’m loving the bright color actually, very tropic ang feeling kunbaga ,wag lang tabihan ng kung anong basura, lol

  6. Connie says:

Dunno that it’s peculiar to Pinoy, CheH. Even more disgusting if it is.

  7. Joe Bariring says:

That’s disgusting! in an open like that? But the thing with some pinoy is the lack of discipline. If that had been in an enclosure, you’d see (and smell) worse than pee! Yikes!

  8. Connie says:

Joe, Pinoy men pee all the time behind electric posts, against a wall… and yeah, out in the open.

  9. Aien says:

guys need help. san ba may malapit na magandang resort dito manila. ung malapit lang talaga.. pero magaanda,.
