I’m sure you’ve seen one of them at one time or another — the ceramic cat with the raised paw on display in many business establishments. The symbol is found in both Chinese and Japanese cultures. Some say that when the cat’s left paw is raised, it is an invitation for customers to come in. A raised right paw attracts money and good fortune.
Now, I’m not a superstitious person but I’m wondering if a real-life Maneki Neko is more effective than ceramic ones.

The luck is non-transferable. Any person other than the owner who uses the photos of the real-life Maneki Neko will lose all his money within a year.

I think I just saw your name on your real-life Maneki Neko, Sassy! LOL
Seriously, I get annoyed when I see that mechanical cat waving even on nearby sari-sari stores. It seems every business store has it these days.
“I think I just saw your name on your real-life Maneki Neko…”
You know how it is. People will take it and use it. So, dare na lang kung paano mae-erase yung pangalan ko without damaging the picture hahahaha
Tama ka dyan. Original works are so vulnerable online. Copycats are always on the prowl for their usual round of copy-and-paste.
the ceramic meneki waves the left hand, but real-life maneki waves the right? hahaha, at may sumpa pa sa plagiarists ang real-life maneki
sus! nung binabasa ko yung umpisa nakikita-kita ko na yung picture ng pusa, isip isip ko, ‘Ceramic cat lang ito. Ang galing, parang totoo!’ hehehe… totoo nga pala.
Doc Emer, better safe than angry hehehe
Kotsengkuba, merong left hand waving, meron ding right hand waving. And they symbolize different things. Check the link in the entry.
Jet, ang totoo nyan eh iniinis ni Speedy yung pusa kaya nangangalmot hahahaha
sa first pic, ibang klase yung mata niya. parang nananakot!
