Casa is Spanish for house. CASA is also an acronym for Connie, Antonio, Sam and Alex. We are all surnamed Veneracion. We all love to take photos -- of anything that catches our fancy. It's a family obsession.
This is a journal of how we live, eat, learn, play and have fun. Work? Work is part of playing and having fun. Seriously.

In 2003, a time when I hadn't heard of the term "blog", I started a recipe website at cooking.houseonahill.net using a now defunct content management system that ran on ASP. Ok, never mind the geek talk, I'm sure you're not interested in that. The contents easily multiplied and, in 2004, I moved the food site to pinoycook.net. Always unhappy with the fact that the dot com versions of houseonahill and pinoycook weren't … (click here to read all »)

welcome to the club!! I felt guilty at first but heck, it's our tool.Good you bought the black. More dirt resistant.
if the mid range came in black too, i would have bought that. but the black model is only available in the high-end series, so… pag white kasi once your hands sweat, naku… problema na.
Wow, Sassy! Good for you. Sana meron rin ako.
Hay, Oliver, tagal ko pinag-isipan. At pinag-ipunan. hehehehe
boy, won't chin wong be happy with that move! hahahaha! but seriously sassy, ever since i switched to the mac OSX last december, i have never looked back. not a single hitch, not a single breakdown, it just keeps running and doing what you just need it to do. i can remember the few number of times when it was required of me to reboot my powerbook, simply because i have always kept it in 'sleep' mode (try doing that with any windows laptop) with all my browser windows and tags open in firefox and safari simultaneously, while doing photoshop and itunes, downloading podcasts on the side, picking up where i left off, and NEVER has it hung or crashed on me. talk about stability. you will have an even easier time with the macbook, i'm sure. now all you need to do is take it wherever you go and just go wifi. it's the best.
I love it, Ben. I can only wish that Apple would pay the workers in the Chinese factories better. It's the only dark side to me decision to buy the Macbook.
Chin Wong is ecstatic. LOL
yeah, those chinese workers…. steve jobs also has to redo his company's image of first world elitism to a more egalitarian friendly appearance or attitude. but all that will change soon enough. just look at billionaire bill deciding to throw up his hand at the present windows mess and shifting gears as a ‘humanitarian'. the worm will turn.
I'd call it chain reaction, Ben, rather than karma.
If you don't mind my asking, were there any tools you have gotten used in blogging in windows that you could not find, or make it hard to use in the mac?
Wilson, so far… iPhoto is a pain after getting used to Canon's downloader and Zoombrowser.
also, with firefox, i've gotten used to having many tabs open on several wndows all at the same time. i organize my surfing that way. in mac, i dont like it that every new window opens a notch lower than the last. less viewing space.
other than that…. can't think of any. but then i use very few "blogging tools". basically, it's just my CMS, my Rebel XT and Adobe Photoshop.
powtah!!! bumili ka na rin??????? super ganda, diba? nainggit na naman ako!!! hehehe.. huwan op dis deys, i will be layk yu. imac na imac na akohhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
… alam ko, old entry na ito.. pero i just had to comment on it.
