Casa is Spanish for house. CASA is also an acronym for Connie, Antonio, Sam and Alex. We are all surnamed Veneracion. We all love to take photos -- of anything that catches our fancy. It's a family obsession.
This is a journal of how we live, eat, learn, play and have fun. Work? Work is part of playing and having fun. Seriously.

In 2003, a time when I hadn't heard of the term "blog", I started a recipe website at cooking.houseonahill.net using a now defunct content management system that ran on ASP. Ok, never mind the geek talk, I'm sure you're not interested in that. The contents easily multiplied and, in 2004, I moved the food site to pinoycook.net. Always unhappy with the fact that the dot com versions of houseonahill and pinoycook weren't … (click here to read all ยป)

Mommy, yung sweldo ko.
Ano gusto mo — in kind o in coins?
Aperture priority/Shutterspeed priority? O fully Manual?
Namiss ko tuloy EOS 300 ko (not D, film SLR!). Just might blow the dust off that one.
Love the “supercat” photo, galing!
whatever she saw…its a great moment captured…
when i was in elementary, i have to fetch water for my neighbors or sell guava to have some money for my comics collection, now its just taking pictures…how high tech! shoot more Sam
Hi Connie! I just remembered through this beautiful photos about your missing cat. I wasn’t able to follow-up on that entry if you ever recovered your lost cat. Just curious
Will throw in the Taiwanese coins as well.
@Jon, I didn’t check the EXIF data. She had the cam for an hour and when she returned it (all photos were taken in the backyard yesterday after school), there were 133 photos in the memory card.
@junnie, i friend once told me: give a kid a cam and you’ll get pics you never thought possible. iba talaga perspective ng bata.
@Lorena, hay, she’ll certainly shoot more.
@Elit, you mean Salt? he never came back. The white cat in the photo is Bebe, Sam’s cat for oh so many years. Supercat is the only survivor from Bebe’s latest litter.
@Rey, ah hindi, kasi the bird was 20 feet up LOL
That’s the thing with analog SLRs, walang EXIF. Hehehe.
Galing ni Sam. I wish I have her talent as well
Ria, me too hehehehe
kotsengkuba, masarap mag photo blog pag ganyang may story that can be weaved from the sequence of photos.
Oh, I posted more of Sam’s photos in Manila & Beyond.
Question pala: how do you store all your pics? External harddrive?
ang galing nung pusa!!!! ang perfect nung timing sister!
Jon, yes, a 120GB external hard drive. Sam has her own — a 40GB hard drive.
I wish to share with you the pictures she took at Bellingrath, http://picasaweb.google.com/pinay.lakas/BellingrathGarden enjoy
Loved the pics, especially the first one! It kinda reminded me of the pet cats me and my siblings used to have when we were kids.
