The kesong puti I grew up with is not made with rennet but just vinegar so it is soft and flat.
I’ve tried Rizal dairy’s mozarella balls and it comes close to the real Italian ones.Pwede na rin in this part of the planet who am I to complain? Rich and creamy too—their take on Greek Yogurt.
I think the Davao dairy/cheese Charmaine was referring to is the Malagos brand.I’ve tried and like their Blue Pepato cheese.Best seller is their goat cheese.

Kesong Puti has NOTHING to do with cottage cheese…

BUT: it’s the equivalent of REAL mozzarella from Italy (Mozzarella di buffalo)… there are regions in Italy where you’re only allowed to call a mozzarella mozzarella IF it is made out of buffalo milk… which kesong puti is..
