Insect on my desk

One of the perks — if you can call it that — of living in the suburb is that nature is so much more alive here than in the city. We can hear the crickets chirp, stray birds alight on the banaba tree in our small front garden, we hear the toads croak at night… and nocturnal insects find their way inside the house especially on my desk where a reading lamp is often on. My husband took these photos of an unidentified insect on my desk. If the lighting in the photo above seems strange, it’s because the ceiling lights were off and only my reading lamp was on. Ergo, the wall is partially bathed in light.
