Ice cold lemonade
The weather can’t seem to make up it’s mind — one minute it’s bright and sunny; the next minute, it’s cloudy. I hear it’s been raining down in Metro Manila but up here in the hills of suburbia, all we get is humidity. And humidity makes any creature thirsty. Speedy’s solution? Ice cold lemonade made with fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and lemon zest.
It’s very easy to make, the ingredients are all natural and Speedy had this genius idea of adding lemon zest for extra flavor and aroma.
- 3 lemons
- 1/2 c. of sugar
- 1 c. of water
- lots of ice
- Zest the lemons.
- Boil the water and sugar to make the simple syrup. Cook just until the sugar dissolves, adding the lemon zest during the last minute.
- Off the fire, add the juice from the three lemons.
- Half fill a pitcher with ice, pour in the lemon mixture, fill up with water, stir and enjoy.
