Garbage as art

These photos of a garbage truck were taken late one afternoon along North Avenue in Quezon City on our way to TriNoMa Mall to attend a birthday dinner. I was trying to capture the contrast of the silhouettes of the garbage collectors and the truck against the setting sun.

The inclusion of the Philippine flag in the photo above was unintentional. I didn’t even realize it was there until after I had downloaded the photos to my hard drive.

The title was my daughter’s idea.

    Hi Lance. Neither did I.

Saw your blog and you have great photos there. :) I especially loved the “long walk home” photo.

leniledesma, LOL but not the truck? :) It would have been just another sunset photo were it not for the garbage truck.

Lovely capture connie! Are we having 4 garbage collectors in Pinas? dito kasi isa lang.Does that mean mas marami tayong basura sa atin?:)

  7. Lance says:

I might just look for a garbage truck and take a similar shot. :)

Hi CheH, ‘lam mo naman dito, isang driver, isang assistant, tapos yung assistant may dalawa pang assistant.

Who would have thought that a garbage truck can be anything but stinky, eh, Lance?
