These are photos from a Good Friday procession in Marikina City. It’s a pageant, alright, with the owners of the statues of the saints going all out with the costumes and floral arrangements.
Above, birds of paradise on the foreground of the float depicting The Last Supper.

The saint stands on a bowl of flowers with petals that are white at the center and purple on the edges.

White anthuriums (or is the plural anthuria?), baby’s breath and white mums for Mary Magdalene.

Bursts of white roses and sampaguita.

Pink and white mums.

White orchids on the float depicting Mary holding the dead body of Jesus in her arms.

am not a catholic sassy, but i can’t help but comment. Ooops, don’t get me wrong……technically this shot is really great, i notice the blue cross at the middle and a steert lamp from afar. you must have a steady hand to achieve this quality of a night photography…that is of course if you did not use a tripod.
no tripod, carol.
cant put up a tripod in that crowd. and no worries about the not-being-a-catholic thing. i was baptized a catholic but it doesn’t really mean much to me.
