I had version 2.5 installed before the public release came out. This blog had been running on the RC2 (Release Candidate 2) version for a couple of days and I had been playing around with the coolest feature of WordPress version 2.5 — the photo gallery. Of course, the upgrade killed some plugins which is why you can’t view the Astro and Pepper photo galleries anymore. I was using the WPsary Gallery Plugin before but it didn’t work with any WordPress version that was higher then 2.2.
The theme I had been using for the past couple of months didn’t work too well with WordPress 2.5 RC2 either. So, the theme change wasn’t exactly a whim.
Anyway, I finally uploaded more Boracay photos.

Wow, Shangri-la in Boracay! I wonder – with just the 1 km by 7 km land area of Boracay – and still, more structures are being built… naku, if it’s not yet congested, ewan ko lang.

Kotsengkuba, hay totoo yang about incompatibilities. If I hadn’t been so frustrated about having to upload photos one by one, I would have postponed upgrading too. But the photo gallery system is sooooo cool. Yun nga lang, major revamp sa design afterwards because 2.5 didn’t even recognize the old theme from the theme editor page. Bummer.

I can’t believe you’re using the same Mimbo theme as mine pero sakin ayaw gumana ang Gallery. Kailangan ko na atang karirin ang pagkumpuni sa template ko. hahaha
