Tito Rolly forwarded a very inspiring anecdote about a speech delivered by an 87-year-old professor. In part, it says:
We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing.
There are only four secrets to staying young… being happy, and achieving success. You have to laugh and find humor every day. You’ve got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die. We have so many people walking around who are dead and don’t even know it!
I believe that. And I think that my kids realize that I believe that. A week before Tito Rolly forwarded the anecdote, Sam and Alex gave me a birthday gift.

I suppose it says a lot about how they think of me — a person who laughs too loudly?
Whatever.

The cuddly microbead pillow is my new bedtime companion along with my latest acquisition from the bookstore, Neil Gaiman’s American Gods.
