The ones who eat may not be able to tell the difference but YOU CAN, right? It's a matter of self-respect, I guess. At least that's how I see it. Dexie, ripe or unripe? Almost summer here. Your comments about Betty Crocker's muffins are very interesting. Here in the west if you're a serious baker, you usually won't admit using the boxed variety. But I know a lot of people who just jazz them up and pretend that they make them from scratch. I bake so I would know the difference in the taste and texture but "the mass of men who lead lives of quiet desperation" probably just won't care as long as it's sweet. Take care. Connie Hi Connie,
