The last seven says have been hectic. After attending to some family matters, we finally got a chance for some R&R. We went to Balay Indang in Cavite, a place recommended by my friend Sami and fellow-blogger Tito Rolly. I wrote a full article about the experience — my, I was so impressed — and I have submitted it for publication in the Life & Travel section of Manila Standard Today, along with some photos that best captured the essence of the place. I’ll republish it here after it comes out on print.
So, I’ll stay mum for the time being but I have a few photos to share with you.

Above, that’s me in the living room of the main house. Below, Sam and Alex in one of the numerous pavilions in the compound.

But Balay Indang was not the only think that kept us busy. The summer activities at the kids’ school will start on Monday and we’re re-orienting ourselves with the new routine.
Sam still refuses to join the football varsity team but she made a decision that will alter our schedules for the coming years. She’s going to resume her figure skating lessons. Not just for the summer but even beyond. I’m already re-prioritizing my budget to include new blades and all the other accessories that go with figure skating. That also means we will be spending at least one day every weekend at the ice rink.
The schedule will be tight, especially for Speedy. The expenses won’t be negligible either (ice skating expenses are on me). But if there is one activity that Sam really loves, it’s ice skating. So, my gadget upgrades will have to wait.

hi Connie. good to know your family had a wonderful vacation in Cavite. at naku, bitin pa talaga ang kwento. very well, i shall await for that article in Mla Standard.
so Sam is resuming her figure skating lessons. naku, good luck to the Mom for buying those pricey skating gadgets.
HAHAHA!
feng, worth it yung waiting, promise.
Sam, anak, paki sungkit nga kilay ko…
Wala akong panungkit. Pasungkit nalang ng DSLR tsaka bagong phone tsaka MacBook Pro.
Sam, anak, asa ka pa… BWAHAHAHAHHA
Ang sama mo! Kurips! Magshoshopping naman sa weekend e. Bukas pala. Ihanda mo ang wallet at credit card MO. Hindi yung kay da. Magpapabili ako ng iba sa kanya. Mababali yung card mo.
Oo. Magwithdraw ka.
Wala bangko ng weekend. At wala na mawi-withdraw hahahahaha
hahaha, everytime a member of your family posts something here, natatwa ako.
teka muna, eh, kamag-anak mo ba yung balay indang?
hayy bitin ang pictures! I already read Tito Rolly’s posts about this weeks ago & I’ve been nagging my husband that it’s must visit in our future vacation to Pinas. Okay sad life, next year pa yun. Kaya post the article & more pictures soon, yun na lang kaligayahan ko
if i ever have a girl, i’ll definitely let her do figure skating. i bet your Sam looks great out in the ice. makes you feel so proud! my 5-year old started Hockey camp earlier this year. he loves being on ice. we’ll continue until he says otherwise.
suspense muna, auee, hehehe basta worth waiting for.
Purplegirl, let’s just say it brings out the stage mother in me hehehe
