We were so excited to visit the Aristocrat Bakeshop on Roxas Boulevard after so many years that I bought two boxes of pastries. When we got home, first on the agenda was making coffee to go with the classic eclair. Imagine my disappointment after taking my first bite. To call the amount of custard filling a “token” would be generous description.

So ironic – you have a beautiful picture of a sad truth.
And we were so excited to be there after, what, 5 years? Such a disappointment. And the ham and cheese croissant? Sus, they now use CHEAP ham and cheese.
the last time it was your sundae with a hole
now its the missing custard.
you remember Mabini Bakeshop? Try their mini cream puffs. Maybe, you can request for some if there is someone coming from that area.
If there is one thing about Caloocan that brings on a flood of nostalgia, it’s Mabini Home Bakeshop.
There is a bakeshop near the Malate Church with cream puffs na nagustuha ko talaga nung binigyan ako. They sell other pastries as well. Yun nga lang, I can’t remember the name of the place.
Pag naalala mo, paki post ha.
mukhang masarap tingnan. but, in this economy they have to cut down on their cost. they also want you to eat more to compensate for less of what you paid for. smart business people?
I don’t know if you can call it smart. I prefer honest. They could have reduced the size of the crust para proportionate sa filling.
i mean smart –s. yes, they could have made it smaller for a lesser price to.
