There are more photos and stories from the Albay trip but, before that (I need a break from the photo resizing and cropping), let me share these with you.
Mysterious Mount Mayon
The first thing that struck me when I first saw Mayon Volcano was how awesome it was. Awesome in its immensity, awesome in its perfect form, awesome in its power that, most of the time, is neither seen nor felt but, when unleashed, spells a terrible fury that few ever forget. Yes, I gaped – ... (more)
Waway Restaurant, Legazpi City
Aside from the pili nut delicacies, lunch at Waway Restaurant has got to be the only culinary highlight of our trip to Albay. After a gallon of perspiration at the Cagsaua ruins, we headed to Legazpi City. Our friend, Mabel, who had been to Legazpi City before, recommended the place. I’m very much into Italian cooking and I’m learning Italian ingredients and cooking techniques. I do want to be able to go beyond the pasta and ... (more)
